"Art should be about an experience that changes the way you look at things and enhances our every day experiences. It should be a point of light in a troubled world"   Sander Bos

"Underpinning all human interaction & all aspects of the human experience are feelings and emotions. The reason why we value beautiful art, resonate with music, enjoy great food, bask in the sunshine, smile when happy, dance with wild abandon, seek and embrace love in our lives, and pursue all other forms of activities from which we derive pleasure; is that these awaken in us feelings and emotions unique to to a particular experience which we treasure and often utilise in order to enjoy, embrace and interpret what it means to be human...

...This site is aimed at connecting people with feelings and emotions associated with various forms of artistic expression which we feel transcend the everyday...We do this by by providing an online platform which showcases unique talent from all around the world..."

We are based in Australia’s Green Cauldron, which encompasses the Northern Rivers and South East Queensland’s Gold Coast hinterland, an area rich in natural and cultural heritage, and home to the highest concentration of arts and creative industries practitioners outside of metropolitan centres in Australia.

We aim to provide exposure for local artists who express themselves imaginatively with exceptional technique and an adventurous individuality.

The artists featured on this site are unique in vision; they do not conform to a common agenda or follow a manifesto. The terms Surreal, Ethereal, Sublime, Phantasmagorical, and Visionary can be used to loosely describe the artworks within this website, each work is unique and invites the viewer to enjoy and embrace the mystic beauty that transcendental art provides in purple spades.

We are proud to promote local and international talent with the simple aim of providing you with Medicine for Your Eyeballs.

WE ARE  EXCITED ABOUT FEATURING THESE THREE AMAZING ARTISTS THROUGHOUT APRIL

JANDAMARRA CADD  - CHRISTINE READ -  KATKA ADAMS

In the Month of April, we are presenting the following:

I) Transcending Reality - An Interview with Stuart Holland: Stuart Holland is harnessing every moment of his journey, both in life and with his incredible drawings and paintings. Stuart explores a deeper narrative, a way into the illuminated world using techniques to engage an energy that is often perceived but only few explore.

II) The Art of Vladimir Kush: a Russian born surrealist painter and sculptor, a world-renown artist and founder of metaphorical realism. The style of Vladimir Kush is a unique addition to the contemporary art scene. Even though his expression is generally described as surrealistic, he prefers to label it as “metaphorical realism”, shying away from the historical connotations the name of surrealism might carry. His iconography is filled with dainty depictions of flora and fauna, presenting butterflies, ships, wings, sea life and precious details, all set in an imaginary, Dalinian landscape, often illustrating wild and untamed nature.

III) The art of Jandamarra Cadd: a Yorta Yorta and Dja Dja Warung descendent, is an inspirational man with many stories to tell. With his vibrant and expressive portraitures, Jandamarra’s artwork is emotive and insightful – and is a powerful medium to bridge the story telling divide between Aboriginal and mainstream Australia.

IV) Gabriel Picolo - Chasing After Celestials: an up-and-coming illustrator hailing from São Paulo in Brazil, known around the world for his unique comics and pop culture drawings.

Gabriel Picolo - - - - - - Chasing After Celestials

-----------------------------------------

Gabriel Picolo has his head in the clouds but his feet firmly planted on solid ground. This immensely talented, up-and-coming illustrator hails from São Paulo in Brazil but is known around the world for his unique comics and pop culture drawings.

His work reads like an unfinished graphic novel, beckoning you further into his playful thoughts and upbeat, oft nostalgic take on the world. Influenced by the Final Fantasy games he played in high school, as well as both Eastern and Western comic styles, he forges into new cartoon territories, creating fresh re-imaginings for old stories, and new work that quite literally reaches for the stars.
